Saying Goodbye at Home

Saying goodbye to our companions is not easy. As a pet parent myself, I know this is one of the hardest decisions we face. It can be difficult to say goodbye - but when the time is right, I feel peaceful passing and freedom from pain is one of the greatest gifts we can give. My priority is providing a gentle, smooth transition - in a way that respects our pets’ dignity, and allows pet parents time to say goodbye.

How do I know it's time?
Dr Lisa recommends reflecting on the daily activities of your pet as well as what brings them joy.
For pet parents feeling overwhelmed or seeking palliative care Dr Lisa is available for quality of life consults. The following are quality of life scales Dr Lisa finds have helped pet parents in the past.
Lasting Memories
We have options for remembering your pet, from pawprints to decorative urns. We will assist with arranging the cremation service, and lasting memory selection.

Each solace pet will have a pawprint made as a gift from us to help you remember your beloved companion.
What to expect
Each person and pet are different, and when saying good bye we honor our unique bonds. We can say goodbye in a sunbeam, sniffing the spring air or on their favourite sofa - you are in the driver's seat.

Pain medication and sedation are incorporated in each visit, and you will have time to snuggle and visit before your pet's peaceful passing.
We are here to support you every step of the way.
