Dr Lisa Kril
Dr Lisa is a veterinarian - but a pet parent foremost (both a cat lady, and millennial dog mom). She knows first hand how hard it is to see our loved ones struggle with pain and mobility challenges and has made it her goal to bring them as much comfort as possible. Her goal is to partner with pet parents to provide peace and comfort to their pets- be it making their golden years as good as possible, or saying goodbye from the comfort of their favourite sunbeam.
We offer in home acupuncture in Guelph, and the surrounding area. Acupuncture treatment starts with an initial assessment. Dr Lisa will examine your pet, review their medical history, review your home set-up to suggest modifications to help make their life easier and of course... make friends! Expect lots of treats, a written care plan and an introduction to acupuncture at this visit.
Acupuncture sessions start with a quick progress check, and then it's on to your pet's 'spa day'. Acupuncture sessions are low stress and tailored to each individual. They often involve treats and calming music.
If you are not sure if it is time for euthanasia, we offer quality of life exams first. These consults are designed to assess your pet’s comfort, happiness, and overall well-being. We provide support and guidance to help you make the best decisions for your pet, ensuring their final stages are as comfortable as possible.
Saying goodbye to our furry friends is never easy. Solace Veterinary Care offers in home euthanasia in Guelph and the surrounding areas. Dr Lisa will support you through this difficult time, allowing your pet to pass in the comfort of their own home.
Coming Soon! Laser therapy is a painless, drug-free way of managing pain. Laser therapy can be added to acupuncture sessions, or provided on it's own to help your pet.

Pet Parent Experiences
Jumbalaya
My senior cat Jumbalaya loves acupuncture!
Dr. Lisa is not only skilled in acupuncture, and educated on multi-modal pain management, but also works hard to make sure Jum is comfortable. From coming to my apartment and providing treats, to going slow and being patient, I truly don't think Jum would have tolerated acupuncture with anyone else.
It took a couple sessions to start seeing a difference, but now we have a changed cat. She is more playful, active, (a senior cat that can jump on top of the fridge??) and most importantly so much more obviously comfortable. We will pursue acupuncture with Dr. Lisa for the rest of Jum's life!

Riley
After trying many different things to try and help my senior dog Riley, I decided to give acupuncture a try.
Dr Lisa was extremely thorough in explaining all the details and outlining a treatment plan. She made it as stress free as possible and was so patient with Riley. And the most important part... Riley loved her! She would greet Dr. Lisa at the door with a ball in her mouth every time. At the end of her sessions, Riley was almost falling asleep.
It was such a pleasant experience for Riley and myself, and I cannot thank her enough - Dr. Lisa has a passion for what she does and treated my pet as if it was her own.

Bruno
Our experience with in-home euthanasia was incredibly comforting, and a surprisingly positive experience for our senior dog Bruno.
Dr. Lisa examined Bruno and helped us make sure that the decision was right for him. Dr. Lisa helped ensure minimal stress was involved and he enjoyed his last moments by eating some Hershey's Kisses she provided (so he could tase chocolate!)
Being able to say goodbye at home surrounded by loved ones was a tremendous comfort during such a difficult time and we sincerely appreciated her efforts and support.
